no, this is not a desperate plea for blog followers/comments/readers.  (mildly sweet plea, maybe, but never desperate.  just kiddinggggg!)

but really, i have just discovered google reader.  and seriously, it changed my life.  

changed. my. life.

call me slow on the uptake or whatevs, but (thanks to Lisa!) i have discovered the joy that is an rss feed/reader.  i've looked into them before (i mean, i don't totally live under a rock) but never saw the practicality of it until rightthissecond.  

this is going to revolutionize the way i read about all you people's wonderful lives.

Tomorrow is July 1st, didja know that?

An Apology and A Thank You

Dear Blog,

I'm sorry I've deserted you for so long.  Ninety days or so, in fact.  Don't think I haven't thought about you, because I have.  Is "It's not you, it's me" too cliche for right now?  Probably, but it's so true.  I work at 6:00am a lot.  And when I don't work that early, I still only wake up just in time for work, and then I work late.  And then, I do stuff with work a few nights a week.  And, like we discussed a few weeks ago, my life has been lacking the need for a lot of creative inspiration.

But enough excuses.

I decided yesterday that I was going to redecorate my bathroom--it's been the same since I was 15 or so and went through a phase when I thought yellow rubber ducks were adorable and had to be everywhere.  So I went to Target and Bed Bath and Beyond, and decided to do my bedroom too.  And you were there for me, blog world.  I was able to log back in like no time had passed, and find the things that I loved and wanted my rooms to look like.

And now, I have a new bathroom--nothing drastic, just took all the duck stuff out, and got some pink&navy towels, a clock, some pictures, new storage and a new shower curtain.  And new sheets.  Beautiful, soft crisp white fluffy sheets.  Next, I need to find accessories and a color scheme for my room.  And unclutter.  Waaaayyyy unclutter.

But the point is, thank you, blog world, for giving me a way to channel and inspire my creativity and my life.

I won't be gone for as long next time, really.

I miss it here!
