i love you, blogs and coffee (and books)

Have you seen this adorable print from MadeByGirl's etsy shop?!

It's brilliant, right?!

Well, I do love blogs and coffee (together and on their own), and recently have been on a long search for the perfect coffee table books, and I mean really, what could be better than a blog made into a coffee table book?!
Nothing.  The correct answer is nothing.

I know, that was a horrible segue.  It's been awhile since I blogged, I'm a little rusty.

So, you can imagine my excitement when two of the blogs I read, and have read, for quite some time now, are being published as books.  I'm going to make them coffee table books.  (Is that even a real genre??)

If you've never seen this, you need to go look at her blog right now.  And then go buy the book.  And then come back and finish reading this.

Leah is the author, and she writes thank you notes everyday to anything and everything, which is so fun, because if you cant find something wonderful in the ordinary stuff, life's just not as fun.  It really makes you think about what you're grateful for, without making you think too hard.  They're hilarious & entertaining too!

Have you read her blog?  Isn't it great?!  What are you grateful for?!

More of the little things!  This blog-turned-book is a daily collection of AWESOME things found all around us.  Today's was "#147 When those little stringy things come off with the banana peel!"

He actually has two books now, and a daily calendar, all of which I want!  I love getting ones in my email that I read and think to myself, "WOW, that is awesome!"  Such a fun little surprise every night!  This is another blog I highly suggest you check out!
What are your go-to feel-good blogs?! What coffee table books do you love?!

weekend back track

Just so you know, I've been referring to the past 6 days as the weekend.
Hard life...

So, my girlfriends were in town this weekend, and it was basically amazing.  Seriously, could not have asked for anything more!  We laid out at the pool/ocean a ridiculous amount, ate, drank, talked, laughed and did not want it to end!  I'm worn out, but I wanted to share some pics from the weekend.

{2 for 1's & coloring at chili's}

{out on the town}

{leftovers from a meal}

{on the balcony of a hotel room -- out in the sun!}

 {bridesmaid pic?  same color scheme, same pose}

{i'm on a boat!}

{frrrrozen hot chocolate from Serendipity3 -- yummm!}

{to-die-for nachos that I'll tell you about someday soon!}

In the meantime, I'm catching up on all of your lives these past few days and I'll return to regular programming this week.

Thanks for sticking with me, you guys!

staycation vacation

Today, two of my favorite people in the whole world are coming to visit for an entire week!   For them, it's a vacation (and they live in upstate New York, so it's a summer vacation for them, because it's still hot in south Florida!) but for me it's a staycation.  I'm taking the next 6 (count them, six) days off work to do a whole lot of laying out, girl talking and relaxing!  Now, that means that I may not be blogging a ton this week, but I couldn't leave you hangin' for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday, now could I?!
google

This week though, is all about vacations!  (I'm loving the themed Pinterest posts lately, can you tell?!)

 {London, my personal favorite!}

{Kali Gendaki Valley, Nepal}

{sunrise at the North Pole, with the moon at it's nearest point -- I just think this is a beautiful picture!}

{cape town, south africa -- want. to. go. now.}

{Great Wall of China}

{Petra, Jordan}

{Arenal Hot Springs, Costa Rica}

{The Mount, Marazion, Egypt}

{Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, Germany -- looks straight out of a dream/fairytale!}

{the beach -- and are those chairs not awesome?!}

{another one of London, just to round out the bunch!}
Aren't these all just amazing?!?!

Would you rather have a vacation or a staycation?
Where is the best vacation you've ever gone on?
Where is your dream vacation spot?

this is country music

Remember how I've been talking about this Brad Paisley/Blake Shelton concert I was going to?!
Well, it was this past Saturday night, and it was better than I could have ever hoped for!!

{shirt:  Old Navy
shorts: Loft
scarf as belt:  Goodwill ($0.09!!!)
gross fluffy hair:  courtesy of hot, humid south florida}

We had such amazing seats and got settled in just in time for BLAKE SHELTON! {who, by the way, is incredible!}

He sang pretty much every single one of my favorite songs of his, and he's amazing and talented and funny!!

And then, Brad Paisley started his set...actually, he started while we were still standing in line for the ladies room after 25 minutes of waiting...and he also played pretty much all of my faves!!

And then, Blake and Brad {we're on a first name basis now, no bigs} sang a song together, which was totally amazing!

Now, for a fun, awkward story to entertain you all...
During the song Whiskey Lullaby, which is a super sad song, everyone was standing on their chairs and singing (and crying) and all of a sudden, I stepped backwards too far on my seat, the seat bottom popped back up, and I fell backwards over the back of my chair, landed flat on my bootay on the ground of the row behind me, with my feet still hanging over my chair.
So embarrassing, but totally hilarious!

Anyway, moving on, the music for Remind Me comes on (Brad's new song with Carrie Underwood) and we figured her part would just be a recording when all of a sudden, CARRIE UNDERWOOD comes out on stage!!!!

 She looked and sounded AMAZING!  Such a ridiculously awesome surprise!!

Seriously, this concert was INCREDIBLE!!!  I had an amazing time and if you have the chance to go to it, or any other country concert, GO!!

How was your weekend?!  What's the best concert you've ever been to?!
